Bellicose Malta ??
huh ?
ok it is no secret that the Island of Malta is anything but ‘bellicose’ !!
Some historical trivia :
-
A favourite Jean Parisot de La’Valette quote, “get the useless mouths out of the Island.” The elderly and children were in their majority taken to Sicily before the 1565 Ottoman Siege.
-
Then came the French occupation of Valletta and Cottonera witnessing the Maltese courageously liberating the Islands.
-
The First World War arrived and Malta (the ‘nurse’) aided wounded soldiers regain their health. A spiritual one for in the majority the nurses were nuns. Thankyou nuns!!
-
The Second World War witnessed the British kindly supplying Malta with some fire power – ahh yes there were the gladiator bi-planes and the Island was used as a spring board for the Allied invasion of Italy and Africa.
-
A few phone calls to Gaddafi saved his life from the American war hawks.
Hello 2008 Welcome Partnership for Peace!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partnership_for_PeacePartnership for Peace
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Partnership for Peace (PfP) is a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) project aimed at creating trust between NATO and other states in Europe and the former Soviet Union; 23 nations are members. [1] It was created in 1994, soon after the collapse of the former Eastern bloc. Ten states which were members (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia) have since joined NATO. On April 26, 1995, Malta became a member of PfP [2]; it left in October 1996 in order to keep its neutrality intact [3]. As of March 2008, Malta is applying to rejoin the PfP. During the NATO summit in Riga on November 29, 2006, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia were invited to join PfP[4] after which they joined PfP[5] on 14 December 2006.[6]

One reason to oppose the PFP
The main problematic issue which this blog finds regarding the pfp debate is that this ‘partnership’ clearly reveals the inability of the European Union to create its own independant civil defense structure. Evidently the NATO collaboration is totally in control having the USA as its leader – and in turn having Israel as its secret minister. Well well well – Malta is not included at the EU level on matters of European security as it is deemed as being ‘not enough committed’ or ‘credible’ due in majority to the fact that it was not a pfp member!! Clearly this shows that NATO is the security arm of the European Union and any combined E.U. European Civil Defense Organisation does not have the authority and weight NATO has. The absence of such an EU organisation (with enough kick as to compete with NATO) is evident when countries such as Britain and France strengthen their age old Franco-Brittania War relationships or the Anglo-French alliance which takes place before a War – any war!!! The next war one could envision is a war against Iran and possibly Syria leaving Jordan and Saudi Arabia somewhere in the middle (just like Iraq) – hopefully this will not be extended to Europe. However, one would have a few doubts regarding this matter as wars of religion are not extinguished easily, actually the last wars of religion began in 600 AD and ended in the 20th century to be reignited in the past twenty years following the end of the cold war. Let us say that such a scenario would further compound new wars of religion with a splash of cold war moves due to China’s arms supply to the middle east and mighty Russia’s insecurity.
One reason in favour of the PFP
If Malta does not join such organisations and is left out of any organisational decisions, which in the future years might become ever more grievous, then Malta will not have much say in matters dealing with its own protection, survival and defense. Being or stating that one is neutral in the face of a possible war of religions is dumb to say the least!! Let us say that Malta declares itself ‘neutral’ in the possible outcome of ‘a Southern Muslim brotherhood which might have just toppled Gaddafi’s government and snatched Egyptian and Algerian military forces in it’s hands’ scenario – could this al-qaeda country truly care that a predominant Christian country such as Malta declares itself neutral? In all truth Islamic fundamentalists are constantly in search of a weak prey and Malta will give them that chance to flex their Islamic muscle against mighty EU – Malta will become an extermination camp – unless ofcourse in some manner Malta can indeed defend itself. The Italians will not defend Malta for who will defend Italy, the Maltese ??? CNI mentality belongs to the cold war era and not to the new wars of religion era – if Malta does indeed declare itself neutral, this might be enough to appease Gaddafi, however if fundamentalists control the Islamic countries then declaring neutrality would mean giving up our Christianity in the face of the Southern Islamic menace. Forced conversions are a must for Jihadist victims. Having said this though it is true that forces exist which are inclined to whip up the hatred between religions as to destroy the three principle monotheistic ones. These forces are also the enemy of Christianity.
“Malta do not be naive!! unlike Switzerland which kept NAZI gold, your neutral declaration could possibly soon become a blatant farce.”

Suggestions
1. Malta-British military partnership.
2. A study into possible future wars in our region. The setting up of a commission, a study group or a cabinet of ministers who in their free time would rather explore this topic than indulge in the Buskett citrus fruits.
3. Adequate basic steps for either :
a. a total plan for an evacuation of the Maltese population, if not to Gozo to some European Country – if any would agree to have 400,000 displaced Maltese fikkanaso.
b. a plan for the basic protection from gas, biological, chemical and nuclear radiation fall-out.
