Iran clerics rebuke Ahmadinejad over ‘hidden imam’

TEHRAN (AFP) – Clerics have told President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to stick to more worldly issues after he was quoted as saying the “hidden imam” of Shiite Islam was directing Iran.
Ahmadinejad has always been a devotee of the Mahdi, the twelfth imam of Shiite Islam, who Shiites believe disappeared more than a thousand years ago and who will return one day to usher in a new era of peace and harmony.
But in a speech to theology students broadcast by state television on Monday, Ahmadinejad went further than ever before in emphasising his belief that the Mahdi is playing a critical role in Iran’s day-to-day politics.
“The Imam Mahdi is in charge of the world and we see his hand directing all the affairs of the country,” he said in the speech, which appears to date from last month but has only now been broadcast.
“We must solve Iran’s internal problems as quickly as possible. Time is lacking. A movement has started for us to occupy ourselves with our global responsibilities, which are arriving with great speed.”
Two leading clerics retorted that Ahmadinejad would be better off concentrating on Iran’s social problems — most notably its double-digit inflation — than indulging in such mystical rhetoric.
“If Ahmadinejad wants to say that the hidden imam is supporting the decisions of the government, it is not true,” sniped Gholam Reza Mesbahi Moghadam, the spokesman of the conservative Association of Combatant Clerics.
“For sure, the hidden imam does not approve of inflation of 20 percent, the high cost of living and numerous other errors,” he said, according to the Kargozaran daily.
Ali Asghari, a member of the conservative Hezbollah faction in parliament, told the president not to link the management of the country to the imam.
“Ahmadinejad would do better to worry about social problems like inflation … and other terrestrial affairs,” Etemad Melli daily quoted him as saying.
Since becoming president in 2005, Ahmadinejad has repeatedly stated that his government is paving the way for the return of the Mahdi and chided his foes for not believing that his return is imminent.

Does Judaism view the Messianic era as a supernatural time?
Well, there definitely are sources that would imply so. According to the Midrash, in the Messianic era, plants will yield their produce on the same day they are planted; entire trees will be edible, not only their fruit; and even non-fruit-bearing trees will bear fruit. The Talmud describes the Messianic era as a time when the earth will produce delicacies and silk clothing, when wheat stalks will tower like palm trees and grains of wheat will grow as large as two kidneys of a large ox (Ketubot 111b).
On the other hand, Maimonides asserts that the nature of the world will not change in the Messianic era. His opinion is based on an opinion in the Talmud as well.
What would Maimonides do with other statements in our tradition that imply a miraculous time? An even greater difficulty with Maimonides’s assertion is posed by the fundamental belief that in the Messianic era the dead will come back to life. Maimonides lists this belief as one of the thirteen principles of faith. How can we believe that the dead will come to life, if the nature of the world will not change when the Messiah comes?
This suggests that Maimonides sees the Messianic age as consisting of two eras. In the first era, immediately following the coming of the Messiah, the world will remain in its natural state. The Messiah will not be accepted based on whether or not he performs supernatural feats, but based on whether or not he brings peace to the world, gathers the Jews to the Land of Israel, and rebuilds the Holy Temple.
Initially, there will be no change in the world order other than its readiness to accept messianic rule. All the nations of the world will strive to create a new world order in which there will be no more wars or conflicts. Jealousy, hatred, greed and political strife (of the negative kind) will disappear and all human beings will strive only for good, kindness and peace. There will be great advances in technology allowing a high standard of living for everyone. Food will be plentiful and cheap. However the focus of human aspiration will be the pursuit of the “knowledge of G–d.” People will become less materialistic and more spiritual.
In a later era, the era of the resurrection of the dead, the nature of the world will indeed change. Only then will all the supernatural phenomena prophesied in the Bible and by our sages occur.

Scriptural Requirements
Most of the scriptural requirements concerning the Messiah, what he will do, and what will be done during his reign are located in the Book of Isaiah, although requirements are mentioned by other prophets as well.

with its decisions to be ratified and put into effect by 2000. That will allow more than two years for the preparatory process. Action on all recommendations does not have to await the final conference. Many of the changes proposed do not need an amendment of the Charter. Some changes are already under way. We encourage action on reform at all levels-provided, of course, that ad hoc decisions do not become a substitute for systematic reform through a fully representative forum. “The UN funded Commission on Global Governance has completed its 3 year study, and has now announced publicly its plans to implement global governance in 1998. The 410 page report published by Oxford University Press is entitled, “Our Global Neighborhood.”
The Commission’s co-chairman was Shirdath Ramphal, former President of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
RESEARCHERS NOTE: All of our National Parks are now being labeled UN Biospheres’ or UN International Peace Parks or World Heritage Sites. The international group called the “World Heritage Committee” is in fact a bureau of the UN. Most of the Soviet and UN equipment that has been brought into our country has been “redeployed” and “stashed” within the UN controlled Executive Order #12986, which makes the IUCN “immune” from search and confiscation and “immune” from the judicial process.
In other words, these internationally controlled parks shall enjoy the same immunity, as enjoyed by foreign governments.
“The Commission recommendations state that the “world is now ready to accey new value”, (referred to as “earth ethics”), that specifically excludes “national sovereignty and private property rights” which are the fundamental values on which America was founded.
“They promote instead, a form of global socialism called the

Lay your nets like Simon Bar Jona, lay them in the depths of the sacristies, seminaries and convents, rather than in the depths of the sea…. Albert Pike received a vision, which he described in a letter that he wrote to Mazzini, dated August 15, 1871. This letter graphically outlined plans for three world wars that were seen as necessary to bring about the One World Order, and we can marvel at how accurately it has predicted events that have already taken place.

It is a commonly believed fallacy that for a short time, the Pike letter to Mazzini was on display in the British Museum Library in London, and it was copied by William Guy Carr, former Intelligence Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy. The British Library has confirmed in writing to me that such a document has never been in their possession. Furthermore, in Carr’s book, Satan, Prince of this World, Carr includes the following footnote:
“The Keeper of Manuscripts recently informed the author that this letter is NOT catalogued in the British Museum Library. It seems strange that a man of Cardinal Rodriguez’s knowledge should have said that it WAS in 1925″.
It appears that Carr learned about this letter from Cardinal Caro y Rodriguez of Santiago, Chile, who wrote The Mystery of Freemasonry Unveiled.
To date, no conclusive proof exists to show that this letter was ever written. Nevertheless, the letter is widely quoted and the topic of much discussion.

“The First World War must be brought about in order to permit the Illuminati to overthrow the power of the Czars in Russia and of making that country a fortress of atheistic Communism. Students of history will recognize that the political alliances of England on one side and Germany on the other, forged between 1871 and 1898 by Otto von Bismarck, co-conspirator of Albert Pike, were instrumental in bringing about the First World War.

After this Second World War, Communism was made strong enough to begin taking over weaker governments. In 1945, at the Potsdam Conference between Truman, Churchill, and Stalin, a large portion of Europe was simply handed over to Russia, and on the other side of the world, the aftermath of the war with Japan helped to sweep the tide of Communism into China.

In addition, Communism as an ideology, and as a coined phrase, originates in France during the Revolution. In 1785, Restif coined the phrase four years before revolution broke out. Since the terrorist attacks of Sept 11, 2001, world events, and in particular in the Middle East, show a growing unrest and instability between Modern Zionism and the Arabic World. This is completely in line with the call for a Third World War to be fought between the two, and their allies on both sides. - mass planetary initiation, also called “Luciferic initiation”, i.e. an act of consecration to Lucifer.
- cleansing action, i.e. the extermination of all those who disagree with the Movement’s goals.
- abortion and artificial insemination.
- forced limitation of family size.
- genetic control.
- death control, whereby a cult is made of death, which is regarded as a euphoric experience and the transition to continuously new life cycles.”

The colour of casteism, provincialism, communalism or nationalism keeps on fading with the progression of time. Modern people should realise that in the near future they will have to adopt universalism. The well-wishers of society will, then, have to mobilize all their might and intellect in organising a World Government, giving up all consideration of forming communal or national organisations. They will have to concentrate wholly and solely on constructive activities in a simple and straight forward manner, rather than indulging in diplomatic and deceitful utterances. Many people say that different national interests are the only hurdle in the formation of a world government, this is not the only obstruction; rather, this is just a minor difficulty. The real cause lies in the fear of local leaders losing their leadership. With the establishment of a World Government the powerful influences which they today enjoy in different countries, societies, and in national life, will no longer exist. Different national interests and popular scepticism may hinder the formation of a world government. The progress of this work must be carried on step by step to remove these baseless fears in human minds. Due consideration will, besides have to be given to removing any possible obstacles to the formation of the world government.
In this first stage, the world government may act only as a law framing body. It will be vested with framing the rights of implementation or non-implementation of any particular law in any particular region. When the world government is being established, the government of different countries will have only administrative power. As they will not have any power to enact laws arbitrarily, it will not be easy for any government to inflict atrocities on its linguistic, religious or political minorities according to the whims of the governing majority. The people of those states which refuse to cooperate should certainly agitate for the establishment of a world government. |

THE RECEPTION OF MAITREYA

Maitreya knows that when He steps forward into the world
arena a mixed reception will be forthcoming from
humanity. There are many who look forward to that moment
with joyful expectation, who will see it as the
beginning of the New Time which awaits the sons of men.
There are others, however, understanding little of the
meaning and process of His advent, who will look askance
and doubt His credentials, fearfully aware of scriptural
warnings which they all too readily misinterpret.
Others, too, will simply watch from the sidelines,
awaiting a lead from those they hold in some esteem.
Thus will humanity range themselves on one side or the
other: those who welcome the Teacher with open arms,
eager to follow His precepts and advice; and those who
see Him as the embodiment of evil and all that they distrust.
Thus will the Sword of Cleavage do its work, revealing
those who stand for freedom and justice, for practical
goodwill and love; revealing also those whose suspicion
and fear, prejudice and hate prevent their recognition
of the truth of Maitreya’s message of compassion and
love. Thus will it be, and thus will men be tested as
guardians of their future.
When the initial shock of Maitreya’s presentation calms,
people will see that within much which to them is
mysterious and new, much remains logical and practical,
self-evident and true. Ancient truths re-uttered will
echo in their minds as long-remembered certainties,
upholding their faith in life. The aspiration lying at
the heart of human evolution will assert its beneficent
power and awaken men to the opportunity to serve as
never before; to find a new hope and purpose; and to
create the outer forms of the new civilization.
Thus will it be.
Threshold
Look forward to this time which is near at hand;
Maitreya stands on the threshold of His emergence, ready
to do battle with separation and greed. Rally to His
call for justice and freedom, reconciliation and peace,
and place your all at the service of the race. This is a
time like none before. This is a time which will never
be repeated. Look deeply into your hearts and make your
choice: a future bathed in light and love — or a denial
of your destiny.
Maitreya knows the time is ripe for change. He knows
humanity is ready for the test. He stands ready to
emerge and begin His mission.
